Ingredients:
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup low-sugar BBQ sauce
Instructions:
- Pat the chicken wings completely dry with paper towels to ensure maximum crispiness.
- In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, then sprinkle in the cornstarch, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss until every wing has a matte, powdery coating.
- Arrange the wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between each piece for airflow.
- Air fry at 390°F (200°C) for 20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure the skin is golden and crisp.
- While the wings cook, measure out the low-sugar BBQ sauce in a small bowl for easy brushing.
- Remove the wings from the air fryer and brush them generously with the prepared BBQ sauce.
- Return the wings to the air fryer for an additional 3–5 minutes until the sauce is bubbly and tacky, ensuring the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
