Ingredients:
- 2 slices (56g) whole grain bread
- 1 tbsp (14g) unsalted butter
- 1 slice (21g) mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
- Spread the softened butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
- Place one slice, butter-side down, in a cold non-stick skillet.
- Layer the cheese slice on top of the bread, then cover with the second slice, butter-side up.
- Turn the heat to medium-low. Once the butter sizzles, place a lid on the pan and cook for 3 minutes until the bottom is deep golden brown.
- Carefully flip the sandwich and cook uncovered for another 2-3 minutes until both sides are mahogany-colored and the cheese is bubbling.
- Remove from heat and let it rest for 1 minute before cutting into finger strips for safe toddler handling.
