Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (150g) English cucumber, finely diced
  • 1 cup (170g) Roma tomatoes, deseeded and finely diced
  • 1/2 cup (75g) red onion, finely diced
  • 1 small (5g) green serrano chili, minced
  • 1/4 cup (10g) fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tbsp (4g) fresh mint leaves, chopped
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp (2g) roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp (2g) chaat masala

Instructions:

  1. Dice the cucumber, tomatoes, and onions into uniform 1/4-inch pieces. Ensure tomatoes are deseeded to prevent excess moisture, then place all diced vegetables into a mixing bowl.
  2. Fold in the minced serrano chili, chopped cilantro, and mint. Stir gently to distribute herbs without bruising the leaves.
  3. Sprinkle the roasted cumin and chaat masala over the vegetables. Drizzle with fresh lime juice and add salt and pepper.
  4. Toss the mixture once more immediately before serving to maintain crispness.
