Ingredients:
- 12 oz Genoa Salami, thinly sliced
- 8 oz Pepperoni or Sopressata
- 10 oz Extra Sharp White Cheddar block, chilled
- 8 oz Fresh Mozzarella pearls, drained
- 1 cup Fresh Blueberries
- 1/2 cup Fresh Blackberries
- 200 g Rectangular Butter Crackers
- 1/4 cup Marcona Almonds
Instructions:
- Prep the cheese. Slice the 10 oz Extra Sharp White Cheddar into 5mm thick rectangles or triangles. Note: Keep it chilled until this exact moment to ensure clean edges.
- Drain the mozzarella. Pat the 8 oz Fresh Mozzarella pearls with a paper towel. Note: Removing excess brine prevents the crackers from getting soggy.
- Create the Blue corner. Place the 1 cup of blueberries and 1/2 cup of blackberries in the top left corner of your board.
- Fold the salami. Take a slice of the 12 oz Genoa Salami, fold it in half, then in half again. Arrange them in a tight row to start the Red stripes.
- Anchor with crackers. Lay the 200 g Rectangular Butter Crackers in a line adjacent to the salami.
- Add the White stripes. Place the sliced cheddar and mozzarella pearls in the rows between the meat.
- Incorporate the pepperoni. Lay the 8 oz pepperoni in overlapping circles until a solid red line forms.
- Scatter the stars. Place the 1/4 cup of Marcona Almonds randomly over the blueberry section. They should look like stars in a night sky.
- Fill the gaps. Use any remaining cheese or fruit to tuck into empty spaces. The board should look abundant and overflowing.
