Ingredients:
- 3 cups (525g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 can (14 oz / 397g) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup (55g) unsalted butter, cut into cubes
- 1 tsp (5ml) pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) fine sea salt
Instructions:
- Line your 8x8 inch pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides to allow for easy removal.
- Combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in a large microwave-safe glass bowl. Microwave on high for 1 minute, then remove and stir. Continue microwaving in 30-second bursts, stirring in between, until the mixture is completely smooth and glossy.
- Remove the bowl from the microwave. Stir in the cubed butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix gently until the butter is fully melted and the fudge looks like a cohesive, thick ribbon.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm to the touch and no longer jiggles.
