Ingredients:
- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- ¼ tsp cracked black pepper
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
Instructions:
- Wash the green beans and pat them completely dry with a paper towel. Trim approximately ¼ inch from the stem ends.
- Place a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Once the oil shimmers, add the green beans in a single layer.
- Let the beans sit undisturbed for 2–3 minutes until mahogany-colored blisters form on the skin. Toss and sauté for another 3–5 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to medium. Stir in the unsalted butter and minced garlic.
- Sauté for 60–90 seconds until the butter is foamy and the garlic is fragrant.
- Remove the pan from the heat. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper, then stir in the lemon juice.
